I am a typical girl and love purses and always have to explain to my husband the reasoning for needing multiple purses in different colors, styles and so on. Since I have become a mother I can forget about carrying a purse for awhile so now I am always looking for stylish diaper bags that don't scream I am full of diapers and wipes. I am now always convincing my husband why I need a new diaper bag. I didn't have to do as much convincing on this bag. He immediately loved the look of it and that it wasn't girly.
I was just recently introduced to Whirlwind Bags. I was so excited to see the logo box on my doorstep this week. As I opened it I was so impressed with the packaging and they even included these super cute custom mints with their branding on it. I am such a sucker for pretty packaging. They really made it feel like Christmas opening it up!
My first impression was how sturdy and well made it felt. It is very thick and feels very comfortable. It is not a flimsy backpack like many I have tried. This bag does not scream diaper bag at all. I will be using this bag for years and would suggest it to anyone, not just moms, looking for a stylish backpack. It has a nice, well padded pocket on the backside of the bag that is perfect for an iPad or small laptop. My husband loves the minimalist and gender neutral look of it. He is happy to finally have a diaper bag in my collection that he wants to carry. I love how light it feels even loaded down with all the essentials I need to get out of the door with a toddler.
It was so fun unzipping the bag and seeing the bright yellow lining. The fun lining is the perfect balance with the simplistic exterior of the bag. The inside also comes with a changing pad that matches the lining. This can easily be put to the side if you were wanting to use the bag for something else.
This bag does not unzip like your typical backpack. It completely unzips so there is no losing anything in this bag or digging around in it forever. I really love this unique feature. This really sets it apart from other diaper bag backpacks on the market. It also has a great leather strap in the front pocket to hook your keys on. You can really tell this bag was designed for mom when you see all the little details. I appreciate anything that makes life a bit easier and I know I have dug in my diaper bags looking for keys many times.
