Wooden Watch: A Unique Valentine's Gift

My husband has never been big on celebrating Valentine's Day. We usually agree to not exchange gifts but then he still gets me a little something. I still like to acknowledge the season that is the cheesiness of Valentines because we got engaged on February 15th (a weird date for for a guy who really dislikes Valentine's to pick ha) So this year I got him this unique wooden watch and of course I already gave it to him as soon as it came in because I can never keep gifts a secret.

Seriously how beautiful is this wooden watch?! I opened it and was so excited about the packaging that I gave it to my husband immediately. I am such a sucker for pretty packaging. It really felt like Christmas opening it up (and it wasn't even for me!) and seeing the beautiful wooden box that it came in.

So if you struggle to find fun, unique gifts for your special someone check out the beautiful selection of wooden watches at JORD. JORD also has watches for women and I am pretty sure I will be needing the walnut & vintage rose cassia in my life soon. You can also have them engraved to add a personal touch.

Fall at the Dallas Arboretum

I have been wanting to take Lucy to the Dallas Arboretum for several months. Our cousins from out of state were in Dallas today so we met them at the Arboretum. The pumpkin displays are amazing! I already want to go back! If you have littles this is a must!. We were lucky today to have my cousin Jenna, who is a photographer, with us.

Photo shoot fun with Lucy ♥

I love to take pictures so it has been fun having my own live in model these days (like most models she is a bit demanding). Here are a few of my favorites of her that I took during the many photo shoots we have had around the house.

At the bottom is a sneak peak image from our photo shoot with the fabulous AmyLu Photography. I have dreamed of this image and Amy captured it perfectly! Of course I think it is magazine worthy ;)

I have so much respect for newborn photography. They are not always the easiest models and a lot of work goes on to get the one perfect shot. Miss Lucy was wide awake the whole time for her pictures with AmyLu and did not make the job easy on her. She did an awesome job capturing this image and working with Lucy.
